  Alright My first review was out of sheer frustration. I want every Veteran to know this simple fact if you get a home loan through Veterans United there is a high possibility of being transferred to Penny Mac LLC. Now I have not even made my first payment with Penny Mac. Penny Mac has sent plenty of notification, reached customer service in 20 minutes and I set up auto pay from my bank account. I have nothing negative about Penny Mac so far! Unfortunately it has gruesome reviews online about other people who also had their loan sold. Reading that for the first time while being forced to now be apart of them was a serious shock at 10:00pm. My one star is the fact that for 30 years I wanted to deal with VU service, VU representatives, VU positive reviews. When I searched for a company that I wanted to represent me I chose VU. I did not have a bad credit score and I had some money that paid thousands in hotel payments and closing costs. I am angry that before the ink dried at the attorneys office all of my information SSN, address, ect was being sold to a company I did not select. You know why because I am a veteran and I wanted to deal with a veteran company. Not that Penny Mac has shown any disrespect or problems. It is frustrating that I applied myself to VU in hopes that VU and its LLC resources would stick with me for 30+ years and numerous house purchases. I specifically remember saying I don't want my loan sold. The VU rep said o that is a rare occurrence but sometime happens. I was a fool I should have googled "VU selling my home loan." Then I would have seen the reviews unfortunate I use google and not a single review about this was written at the time. So is this a bad thing no, and yes it depends how you feel and perceive the situation. So was my VU agent nice yes! did they email me within 48 hours yes! is VU bad depends how you view this. The people where kind, fast and on time. But for the next 30 years I will not deal with them! So for the rest of the loan my loyalty with be with Penny Mac. When I purchase more property I will not call VU I will call Penny Mac or USAA. This might sound stupid but it was a big deal to me. I found it ironic that VU expresses loyalty but sold me to a different company that states "We service the loans we originate — Unlike most lenders, we stay committed to our customers throughout the life of the loan. When you originate a loan with PennyMac, we’ll service your loan because we value your trust and decision to choose us." -Penny Mac. So heck maybe I should be thanking VU other wise I would have never gone with them. I just want others to know what happened to me. So you might say hey they were nice for 45 days well my review is for the long haul. 30+ years. And since they took the burden of my loan and sold me within 45+ or - a few days I give them a star :)
